Calling All Rotarians:

It's that time of the year again when the USPS helps the Interfaith Food Pantry by collecting food and bringing it to the Ridgedale Avenue Post Office where the Morristown and Morris Plains Rotary Clubs then transport it to the Food Pantry.

The current information is that we need to show up between 5 and 5:30 on Saturday, May 14. We load it into our vehicles and drop it off at the Food Pantry.

The wild card is to determine when the food will arrive at the Post Office; there was an issue last year with several call outs and the food did not arrive until closer to 6 pm. Usually, Ron Kelly from Morris Plains brings his Sprinter van and I bring my Dogmobile and Charlie Eggert brings his pick-up and that's all the transportation we need. Sometimes we also need to load some food into other vehicles.

But we are Rotarians and we do what needs to be done. If you live in Morristown, Morris Township, or Morris Plains, how about letting your neighbors know to put out a bag of groceries near their mailboxes on May 14?
