Gift Of Life Child Returns to Nigeria

Sponsored by the Morristown Rotary Club, mother, Margaret and GIFT OF LIFE CHILD, Dotun (pronounced Dotsoon) traveled to Montefiore hospital where the surgeons performed surgery to correct a hole in his heart and an unhealthy thickening of the walls of his heart. This is very dangerous and tricky surgery especially for a child of this age and size.

Mother and child have actually been in the states since August when they arrived in Wisconsin to have this same surgery. Unfortunately the surgeon who volunteered for the job died unexpectedly and they have been waiting all this time for another institution to become available. Since their arrival in NJ in the midst of a blizzard, they've had their initial testing and original surgery date bumped due to weather conditions. Needless to say the waiting has been very stressful for both of them but they have held up like the troopers they are!

SURGERY COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY!!   Denny Morrison says, "I had a nice email and phone call from Margaret, mother of our Gift Of Life child, Dotun. They are now home in Nigeria."   The text of Margaret's email follows:

MARGARET'S MESSAGE:

"This is just to appreciate you guys for what you have done for me and my baby. Once again, I AM VERY GRATEFUL TO YOU. You really mean the world to me. i mean each and everyone of you for turning my sorrow into joy and my mourning into dancing again. THANKS SO MUCH. 

Dotun's sickness cost me and my family a lot of things. i lost my job. We sold virtually all we had just to make sure we were able to take him for check ups since he was 2wks old. Until God answered us through you guys. 

WHEREVER YOUR CHILDREN ARE,THEY WILL NOT KNOW SORROW. GOD WILL MEET THEM AT THE POINTS OF THEIR NEEDS. IN JESUS NAME, AMEN. THIS IS MY PRAYER FOR EVERYONE THAT PARTICIPATED IN SAVING MY BABY'S LIFE.
